Announcing Belvedere’s Canon Halloween Event!
Mod!Ruaridh is proud to present Belvedere’s fifth official RP wide event!
With Halloween swiftly approaching for the patients and staff of Belvedere Institution, Dr. Ripley Cain and his staff will be hosting a Masquerade Halloween Event which will be taking place on October 31st in the RP Timeline (RPT), but Sunday August 25th, Real Time (RT). It will be an All-Day event, with more details on specific times coming closer to the date.
The Event will be contained to the majority of the first floor, and as there will be no outside visitors permitted, patients of all levels will be communing downstairs. In fact, levels 2 and 3 will be locked off for the main hours of the event, in order to allow for most security guards to be patrolling the main floor. The upper levels will be reopened closer to the end of the night to permit patients to return to their bedrooms before the event-extended curfew (12:30 am) if they so choose.
The entire first floor will be decorated, and the rec room will be used as a sitting and snacks area, while the cafeteria will be cleared and used as a dance floor.
Non facially-obstructing half-masks (example in the photograph being the maximum, most masks being just the standard eyewear) will be provided for the patients and staff. No one is obligated to wear them, but they will be displayed starting the morning of the event for patients to come and select their masks for the evening.
For obvious reasons, costumes will be limited, but Ripley and staff will have arranged for costume accessories to be available for patients to chose from within a couple days before the event, in order to create a costume effect. These things might include ear-bands, tails, capes, hats/headpieces, gloves, jewelry, glasses, wings, and other easily adorned items. There were also be facepaint stations available. See ‘STAFF’.
Staff are requested to attend to help chaperone/host, and will be paid appropriately for their time. Dr. Cain is also looking for volunteers to decorate, as well as to work a couple face-painting stations during the afternoon before the event. Any nurses, interns or other hospital staff interested in helping out, please message Ripley about it to sign up. He appreciates your participation.
Patients will have the day off for the event and are permitted to wear their street clothes during the day, as well as during the event. Any questions concerning costumes and details should be directed to Rory on the main, and more details to come closer to the event!
Below are some examples of costumes that will be available with the use of the ‘accessories’ mentioned before. If you have any questions about them, or requests for your own costume ideas don’t hesitate to message the main!
- An assortment of animals, nothing outrageous but the standard stuff
- Mainstream superheroes
- Butterflies/Fairies/Lady Bugs/Bees/Dragons/Winged Things
- Construction Worker
- Queen of Hearts
- Mad Hatter
- etc, etc….
So you get the idea! Any other ideas just run them by me so I can give the thumbs up and if you
have any questions/clarification requests about what would be provided just let me know!
Hokay! I believe that’s all for now folks! I’m very much looking forward to this event and don’t be afraid to ask questions should you have them!
